Environmental Services

East Coast erosion Control Aims to protect our native ecosystem to prevent sediment & pollution from entering our local waterways. Protecting our environment through our services means we are always one step closer to keeping a healthy yet sustainable ecosystem.

We are passionate about protecting/stabilizing our shore lines and creek beds by using all our Natural BioDegradable products and vegetation methods. We can come out and access what is the best practice to use on your site and install a wide range of different options to suit the landscape and shoreline.

Creek Bed Rehabilitation

East Coast Erosion Control aims to reduce the risk of flooding by ensuring the watercourse channel (creek bed and side banks) is clear of obstructions so that water can flow unimpeded along the full length of the creek. For Highly Eroded areas we can install different types of methods by using hard or soft scapes to rehabilitate the area from erosion.

Shoreline Rehabilitation

Coastal erosion occurs when tides or wind carry the sand/ sediment away from the shore. Coastal erosion continues to be a major issue here in Australia and world wide due to climate changes. East Coast Erosion Control can help reduce the impact of erosion by implementing our erosion control measures such as rehabilitating our dunes/shorelines by establishing vegetation or Installing Erosion matting to help stabilize dunes.

Drain Wardens

The Drain Warden is made from fabric. The polypropylene nonwoven geotextile fabric is the filter medium – any particulate greater than 90 microns will be trapped by the fabric. An absorbent polypropylene absorbent mini boom in the basin of the drain warden traps hydrocarbons, oils and fuels.

Silt Socks

Silt Socks are used to trap silt and sediment going into drains and gutters. They are also used to divert water while trapping sediment. Silt Socks are made with a geotextile fabric and commonly filled with rock, gravel or sand to allow water to pass through whilst capturing the majority of silt and sediment. East Coast Erosion Control Offer a range of silt socks including filled heavy duty geotextile. We can supply and install silt socks to your site requirements.

Coir Log Installation

Coir Fibre Logs are made from natural coconut fibre bound by a 100% biodegradable coir fibre nettingAn environmentally friendly solution for bush regeneration projects, coir logs help hold moisture for tree and plant growth whilst providing a structure for vegetation to establish and take hold for long term stabilisation. Coir Logs have a 3 to 5 year life which enables for full plant and soil establishment. East Coast Erosion uses and installs coir logs as part of our creek bed and shore line rehabilitation service.

Storm water Gutter Protection

Storm drain protection is usually installed as a temporary measure on construction and civil sites and is designed to prevent debris, sediment, gravel and soil from entering the stormwater systems. There are a number of different protection strategies available that East Coast Erosion Can install or supply to sites, all of which act in different ways to protect the stormwater systems from blockage and contamination.
